Regional meeting to review and pilot test a resources and information toolkit to enchance scientifically sound decision making on hazardous chemicals in developing countries

Organizers

The workshop was organized by the Secretariat in collaboration with the United Nation Environment Programme-Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, and Asian Institute of Technology-Regional Resource Centre for Asia and the Pacific. The financial support was provided by the European Union.

Workshop Objectives

  • To review of the draft FRA Evaluation Toolkit by the ad-hoc expert group established for the development of the toolkit;
  • To pilot test the Toolkit in selected countries with a view to identify the areas for further improvement and its usefulness for DNAs making scientifically sound decisions on regulatory actions on chemicals.

Target Audience

Invited experts of the Chemical Review Committee and Designated National Authorities of the Rotterdam Convention in selected countries.
