Training on the Rotterdam Convention for Liberia

Highlights: Through its designated national authority (DNA), the Environmental Protection Agency of Liberia request a training on the Rotterdam Convention targeting relevant staff. The training will cover topics such as the key mechanisms and actors under the Convention, the listing of chemicals in Annex III, the prior informed consent (PIC) procedure, and mechanisms for information exchange. A particular focus will be placed on import responses and notifications of final regulatory action. Moreover, the status of implementation of the Convention in Liberia will be discussed.
