Training on the Rotterdam Convention - St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Online, 17-18 February 2026

Highlights: The designated national authority (DNA) of St. Vincent and the Grenadines requested a training on the Rotterdam Convention targeting relevant staff. The training will cover topics such as the key mechanisms and actors under the Convention, the listing of chemicals in Annex III, the prior informed consent (PIC) procedure, and mechanisms for information exchange. A particular focus will be placed on pending import responses and addressing implementation challenges and needs. Moreover, the status of implementation of the Convention in St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be discussed.

Meeting objectives: To strengthen the knowledge and capacity of relevant staff in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to implement the Rotterdam Convention.

Target audience: Staff in St. Vincent and the Grenadines with a role in the implementation of the Rotterdam Convention.
