In Article 18 of the Convention, the Conference of the Parties is established as the governing body which advances the implementation of the Convention through the decisions it takes at its periodic meetings every two years.
It also reviews chemicals brought forward for its consideration by the Chemical Review Committee; it reviews and adopts the programme of work and budget of the Convention for each biennium.
