The Chemical Review Committee recommended to the Conference of the Parties that liquid formulations (emulsifiable concentrate and soluble concentrate) containing paraquat dichloride at or above 276 g/L, corresponding to paraquat ion at or above 200 g/L be listed in Annex III of the Rotterdam Convention and developed a rationale setting out how the criteria in Annex IV, part 3, had been met (paragraph 174 of the report of CRC 7 and Annex IV of document UNEP/FAO/RC/CRC.7/15).
The seventh meeting of the Chemical Review Committee agreed to establish a drafting group to prepare a draft decision guidance document (paragraph 180 of the report of CRC 7, document UNEP/FAO/RC/CRC.7/15).
The draft decision guidance document was finalized by CRC 8 in March 2012.
